Measure Yourself

We design and make custom made fashion for clients internationally. Which means you can wear any of Marisela’s unique and well-made dresses regardless of where you are. The only place we have not delivered to yet is the moon. 

Follow our instructions below and you will receive a beautifully fitted dress.

Step one

Step 1: Get a measuring tape

Read this 1st:

Use centimetres. That would be cm’s on the measuring tape. 

Get a friend or a family member to help, it could make measuring yourself a little easier and it will be fun.

Then, you can either complete the measurements form below as you take your measurements, or better, write them down on a piece of paper and type them into the form once you are done. 

  • Always remember to send your cup size (bra size)
  • While taking your measurements, you should wear the same height heels that you would be wearing to your special event.

Send Us Your Measurements

Remember these tips
  • Measure in centimetres (cm)
  • Ask a friend to help
  • Watch the video

  • Place measuring tape around your neck, make sure its not too tight. Leave a finger space between your neck and the tape.

    Place the tape against your neck till the end of your shoulder.


    Place tape under your arm pits and measure all around, include the front and the back. If your dress is a boob tube, this measurement needs to be tight.

    Place tape around around your body on the middle of your bust/boobs/chest. Include the front and the back (all around).

    Place tape around body under your bust/boobs. Include your back and front (all around)


    Where your belly button is. Place the tape around your body and measure.

    Place the tape around your hip area. Make sure the tape is not too tight. It should be able to move slightly up and down. (This is very important). If its for a mermaid or a tight fitting dress, make the measuring tape tight around your hips.


    Below Is For Pants Or Shorts Only

    You can skip this next section if you are having a dress made

    (PANTS or SHORTS ONLY) Place measuring tape at the bottom of your crotch and measure till your waist (where you would want your waistband to be)

    (PANTS OR SHORTS ONLY) Place tape around your thigh and measure with a finger space beneath the tape. If you want a tight fit, measure without a finger space.

    (PANTS or SHORTS ONLY) Place tape around your knee and measure with a finger space beneath the tape.


    This Section Is For Pants Or If Your Dress Has A Slit For Your Leg

    Measure from where you want the waistband to be, to the required length, for example: From the waistband to the floor, from the waistband to your knee. IF YOU ARE WEARING HEELS WITH YOUR FASHION ITEM, YOU NEED TO MEASURE WITH YOUR HEELS ON.

    With your heels on, measure from the floor towards the knee till your thigh to get the measurement of how high you want the slit.

    This Section Is For Dresses With Sleeves Or If You Want A Shirt

    (ONLY IF YOU ARE HAVING SLEEVES)For a full length arm measurement, bend your arm to your waist. Place measuring tape at the beginning of your arm(end of shoulder) all the way down and around your elbow to the end of your wrist bone. the same applies for three quarter length sleeves. For short sleeves or elbow length, keep your arm straight and measure to desired point.

    (ONLY IF YOU ARE HAVING SLEEVES)For a full length arm measurement, bend your arm to your waist. Place measuring tape at the beginning of your arm(end of shoulder) all the way down and around your elbow to the end of your wrist bone. the same applies for three quarter length sleeves. For short sleeves or elbow length, keep your arm straight and measure to desired point.

    (ONLY IF YOU ARE HAVING SLEEVES). Please the measuring tape around your bicep (upper arm), If you want a tight sleeve the measuring tape must be tight.


    Continue With Dress Measurements Below

    Place measuring tape at the top of your shoulder and measure to where the hem of the dress should be (measure in the front). (IF YOU ARE WEARING HEELS WITH YOUR DRESS - MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THEM ON DURING MEASUREMENTS)

    Length from top bust to floor: Take the measuring tape, place it on your top bust (in-line with your arm-pit) to the length you want the dress to be. (measure in the front). (IF YOU ARE WEARING HEELS WITH YOUR DRESS - MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THEM ON DURING MEASUREMENTS)

    Length from under bust to floor: Take the measuring tape, place it under your bust, to the length you want the dress to be. (measure in the front). (IF YOU ARE WEARING HEELS WITH YOUR DRESS - MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THEM ON DURING MEASUREMENTS)


    Take the measuring tape and measure your back by placing the one end under your armpit to the other armpit.

    Take the tape from the end of one shoulder (from the back side of the shoulder) and measure to the same point on the other shoulder.


    Your dress size should be something like a size 8/10/12 etc.
